【 Summary 】
NICORIO corp. is engaged in the planning, manufacturing, and sales of health foods, including the functional food FLAVOS.
The company was having problems with the nonpayment of postpaid orders. In dealing with cases of unauthorized purchases with no intention of paying, the person in charge of orders visually determined if the purchase was fraudulent or not, but this was a challenge. There were three major issues: human resources, detection accuracy, and man-hours. Since relying on the skills of individuals is risky, standardization was necessary to ensure that quality would not vary regardless of who was doing the work. They knew that our goal was standardization and automation, so they searched for a system that could solve our problems, learned about Cacco Inc.’s fraud detection system “O-PLUX,” and implemented it.
After the introduction of the service, O-PLUX automatically sorts out those orders that require shipping decisions from among the huge volume of orders, which has enabled us to maintain a constant quality of checks. The improved detection accuracy has also resulted in an approximately 1% increase in the payment rate.
Furthermore, man-hours have been reduced, allowing the staff in charge to allocate their time to tasks that they should be focusing on, such as strengthening the network with other teams and considering operational strategies.
The introduction of O-PLUX also revealed a new resale issue. There was a situation where the same customer was repeatedly purchasing specially priced items that could only be purchased once per customer. The customer information was changing slightly with each order, and this had gone completely unnoticed by the previous visual checks. The “device identification option” was added to solve the resale problem. This service specializes in detection based on device information and is particularly good at detecting unauthorized logins.
After adding the “device identification option”, the deposit rate and return rate improved, with the deposit rate increasing by approximately 10% and the return rate decreasing by 1%.
